Psoriasis Vulgaris

It is believed that HBOT has an immuno-modulating effect where it decreases inappropriate autoimmune activity and shows improvement in a variety of conditions that exhibit this disease mechanism. It is also well established that HBOT is an anti-inflammatory and can restore appropriate blood flow to areas of the body that have poor vasculature. Numerous skin conditions benefit from HBOT and there is some evidence that psoriasis is one of them.

There are 5 classifications of psoriasis vulgaris:
  • plaque psoriasis
  • guttate psoriasis
  • inverse psoriasis
  • pustular psoriasis
  • erythrodermic psoriasis
