Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain condition that mostly affects women. Hyperbaric oxygen clinics and practitioners have been reporting anecdotal improvements in fibromyalgia cases for over 10 years. In 2004, the first randomized controlled study on fibromyalgia using 15 hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) sessions showed improvement in pain threshold, pain scores (using visual analog scale) and the number of tender points.  In 2015, Dr. Shai Efrati and his team, published an open source study on Fibromyalgia using HBOT.
