Charles Pavia, PHD - Study on Borrelia Burgdorferi Strains using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
Charles Pavia, PHD performed a simple test tube experiment and also a mouse experiment. Test tubes exposed to 2 - 3 ATA twice daily for 2 days (4 HBOT Treatments) showed inhibition of growth from 33-94% when compared with control test tubes. This was observed in 14 of 17 strains of Borrelia Burgdorferi. Infected mice exposed to the same treatment protocol (4 HBOT Treatments) showed a reduced bacterial load. Only 20% of HBOT mice cultured the spirochete from bladder and urine extracts while 90% of the control mice did. More research is warranted.
